On Saturday, October 1st, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences inducted 180 of the nation’s most influential artists, scientists, scholars, authors and institutional leaders as members of its 231st class. The American Academy of Arts and Sciences is one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious learned societies and draws from its members’ expertise to conduct independent research studies in sciences and technology, global security, social policy, the humanities and culture, and education.
Among the inductees is David Page, M.D., renowned geneticist and Director of MBBP client Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. Dr. Page has conducted fundamental studies of mammalian sex chromosomes and their roles in germ cell development, with special attention to the function, structure, and evolution of the Y chromosome.
