Agrivida, Inc.On October 30, the U.S. Department of Energy awarded five organizations, including MBBP client Agrivida, the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy research award. ARPA-E awarded Agrivida a grant of $4.6 million to develop the ability to create “cell wall-degrading enzymes”. As ARPA-E’s website states, this will in turn lower the cost of biofuels and chemicals and “will help establish a sustainable market for non-food biomass resources to bolster the development of biorefinery jobs and commerce and create carbon neutral transportation fuels”.

Congratulations Agrivida!
