Giving Clean Energy Sector a Boost in Massachusetts 07/27/2009Posted by Morse, Barnes-Brown Pendleton in Clean Tech.
We salute the Clean Energy Fellows, a program to help accelerate clean technology in Massachusetts and throughout New England, as they begin a year of learning and business networking toward the goal of better understanding of how to apply clean technology to local industries and businesses.
A project of the Clean Energy Council, the fellowship program addresses a simple but acute problem: a lack of repeat entrepreneurs in the sector — a critical ingredient in venture formation, funding, and growth — by offering entrepreneurs from other sectors an intensive, half-time, semester-length, clean energy program to accelerate their transition into the sector.
Mass. High Tech published a nice article that follows up on last year’s crop of fellows — including MBBP client Steve Kropper from WindPole Ventures, to answer the obvious question… “Where are they now?” See the article here: Following the first Clean Energy Fellows
