Vivox to Open Boston Office 03/09/2012

On March 1st MBBP client Vivox, Inc. announced the opening of a Boston office in the up-and-coming Innovation District. The expansion will include both a new space and the hiring of engineering and product development staff as part of its aggressive growth strategy resulting from an increased market and demand for Vivox’s high quality social communication services. Vivox CEO and Co-Founder, Rob Seaver, had this to say of the annoucement:

Vivox Announces New Social Voice Partner Program 03/31/2010

Vivox, Inc.On March 23, MBBP client Vivox, Inc. announced they have launched a new initiative to branch into social networking websites through their new Social Voice Partner Program. This program will make it easy for developers to integrate voice to any social media application such as Facebook, Google Wave and Ning. Vivox’s chief executive Rob Seaver said:

We want to bring voice to social apps across all devices. We see just about every app becoming social.

Vivox, Inc.A few days ago MBBP client Vivox, Inc. announced it entered into a partnership with German company Bigpoint, the largest German gaming portal and one of the top 3 gaming portals worldwide. The partnership will allow Bigpoint’s 100 million members to use Vivox’s voice chat platform by providing Vivox’s technology to their community members, advancing social networking capabilities and enhancing game play across the catalogue of Bigpoint games.

Registration is now open for the MITEF New England Games SIG and New England Venture Capital Association event: A Meeting of the Minds: Game Companies and the VC’s that Fund Them. The event will feature a panel of venture capitalists and executives from companies in the game industry (including MBBP client Vivox) who will discuss their perspectives on the current state of the game industry. Wade Roush, chief correspondent for Xconomy.com, will moderate the event while helping to answer a number of questions for attendees. MBBP is one of the sponsors of this event and our own Michael Cavaretta is founder and chair of the New England Games SIG.
