Implant Sciences Issues $20 Million Secured Promissory Notes 04/02/2014

Implant Sciences CorporationOn March 21 MBBP client Implant Sciences Corporation announced it had completed a $20,000,000 refinancing with an accredited New York City-based institutional investor group.  Implant Sciences used the proceeds of the loan to pay down its DMRJ Group LLC line of credit as well as some portions of its other indebtedness to DMRJ. Glenn Bolduc, President and CEO of Implant Sciences, had this to say of the announcement:

We believe our ability to execute this non-convertible debt financing agreement with new lenders is based on the strength of our operations, our market traction in explosives trace detection, and the future potential of Implant Sciences. The loan gives us the flexibility to pay down our DMRJ debt while also providing additional working capital. We are also happy to announce the extension of our loans from DMRJ. DMRJ has been consistently supportive of our Company and has provided us the capital we needed to get to where we are today. We are pleased to continue to work with them.

Implant Sciences Receives STAC Certification for QS-B220 Explosives Trace Detector 10/02/2013

Implant Sciences CorporationOn October 1, MBBP client Implant Sciences Corporation announced that the Service Technique de l’Aviation Civile (STAC) of France has certified QS-B220 desktop explosives trace detector (ETD). The QS-B220 is now available for purchase and deployment to screen passengers, cargo, cabins, and baggage for explosives in airports throughout France. Implant Sciences CEO, Glenn Bolduc, had this to say of the news:

This is a very significant achievement and milestone for Implant Sciences. STAC is a highly respected certification organization, and becoming certified opens the large French aviation market to us…This is another step in our journey towards increasing our global market share and further establishing Implant Sciences as one of the major ETD manufacturers in the world.

Implant Sciences Wins TSA Approval 01/18/2013

Implant Sciences CorporationOn January 16, 2013, MBBP client Implant Sciences Corporation announced that its QS-B220 explosives and narcotics trace detector has been accepted into the “Approved” section of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)‘s Air Cargo Screening Technology List (ACSTL). The “Approved” technology section of the list specifies equipment that has been conditionally approved for screening operations and is currently undergoing or scheduled for field test activities. With this announcement, Implant Sciences believes that it is positioned to sell its products into the U.S. security marketplace, which accounts for approximately 43% of the world market. On July 23rd ABC’s Boston affiliate WCVB’s NewsCenter 5 aired a segment on MBBP client Implant Sciences Corporation and its Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) technology. Implant Sciences has developed technology in which a patented heated vortex transports trace particles or condensed vapor directly into the explosive trace detector. This allows objects to be tested without contact or the use of disposable traps. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is currently reviewing this technology for use at airport security checkpoints across the country.

Joseph Levangie, member of the board of directors of MBBP client Implant Sciences, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012. Joseph had served as Chief Financial Officer for several companies, including Spire Corporation, Greenman Technologies Inc., and Palomar. Joe was well-known in the technology and entrepreneurial community and will be greatly missed.

On August 17th, U.S. Congressman John F. Tierney visited MBBP client Implant Sciences Corporation headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Wilmington, MA. The tour included discussion on Congressman Tierney’s involvement in increased homeland security, American job growth and what the U.S. government can do to help small businesses in Massachusetts support these goals. The Congressman, who is also the Ranking Democrat of the House Oversight and Government Reform’s Subcommittee on National Security, Homeland Defense and Foreign Operations, had this to say of the visit:

Bridgeline DigitalOn May 7th, the Boston Business Journal (BBJ) released their list of the Top 50 Fastest-Growing Public Companies in Massachusetts ranked by revenue growth from 2007-2009. MBBP clients Bridgeline Digital, Inc. Implant Sciences Corporationand Implant Sciences Corporation both broke the top 20 by earning spots 16 and 19 respectively. Bridgeline Digital’s revenue has increased 114.33% since 2007 with Implant Sciences’ not far behind, with an increase of 90.75%.

Implant Sciences CorporationMBBP client, Implant Sciences negotiates Corporation has renegotiated its credit agreements with its senior secured investor, DMRJ Group LLC. The contract between the two companies has been changed to increase Implant Sciences’ line of credit, reduce the interest rate payable on their obligations, and removed all profit-sharing from the agreements.

With these improvements, Implant Sciences is looking to keep up with increasing demand for their product in both U.S. and foreign markets.

Implant Sciences Receives $6 Million Contract for Portable Explosive Detector 01/21/2010

Implant Sciences CorporationThe Government of India has awarded Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCBB:IMSC) with a contract totalling over $6 Million for its Quantum Sniffer™ QS-H150 Portable Explosives Detectors and associated support. The Quantum Sniffer™ QS-H150 can collect and sense explosive particulates and vapors without physical contact and in real time. The Indian Ministry of Defense (MoD) plans to use the Quantum Sniffer™ in Force Protection and Public Safety applications throughout the country.
