We are happy to announce that business and clean technology attorney Gerard O’Connor has joined our firm, helping to strengthen our service offerings for the clean tech and clean energy sector. As noted in a recent post on the Massachusetts AGO blog,
“According to a report released by the United Nations Environment Program, $155 billion was invested in clean energy companies and renewable energy projects worldwide in 2008, exceeding investment in fossil fuel technologies in that same year.”
According to O’Connor,
“Here in Massachusetts we are seeing innovation not only in areas of solar, wind and biomass, but also in the development of new, disruptive technologies and businesses ideas from new biofuels, generation and storage methods to water treatment and transportation solutions. And we’re also seeing innovation in software and IT-enabled approaches to measuring and controlling energy usage, both in the end-user environment and along the ’smart grid’ that has the capacity to revolutionize the way energy is generated, stored, distributed and sold across the country.”
